About me

Since I can remember, I have been fascinated by stories: Fantastic worlds, complex characters, and exciting adventures. I’ve learned to love the narrative and emotional possibilities of books, films, and video games and started to tell my own stories. My early attempts to write fantasy novels only failed because of my ambitions. The first short films were shot in the neighborhood without a budget, while I created my first games using the RPG Maker. During my studies in audio-visual media at Stuttgart Media University, I tried out different fields connected to the goal of making narrative experiences. But the narrative potential of video games always stuck with me the most because the gameplay, art style, level design, and overall storytelling can create a unique and direct experience that I haven’t yet witnessed in any other medium. I’ve always tried to explore this potential in my past projects and deepened my theoretical understanding of the subject within my bachelor thesis on User Experience of Narrative Means in Video Games. And since I’m convinced that this potential is still widely untapped, I’m highly motivated to contribute my part in the future.
